If you’re looking for a fine dining experience with modern, fusion cuisine, Paradoxon is the place to be. Located close to Salzburg old town, you could easily reach the restaurant by foot or by car (there’s a huge parking spot right next to the restaurant) Plus points: I love the food here and the way the chef presented them. You could taste that ingredients in every dishes are high quality products and they were cooked by skilled, complicated techniques in order to bring out the best flavors. So great compliments to the chef and the kitchen’s crew. The service team was very friendly, professional and fast with our dishes. Recommendation: restaurant 4-course menu or 6 if you’re hungry 😉 Minus points: ONLY CASH!!! Please prepare in advance. Whenever it comes to fine dining, the wine paring is as important as the food. Unfortunately, there is no wine card for any references or tasting notes so I’m a bit lost. You have to go the shelves and check the wine yourself, which is kinda cool and they have a great collection btw. Yet, I would prefer to have some tasting descriptions, price point on some kind of reading material or at least from the staff, instead of walking around which might disturb the other guests enjoying their time. Despite the fact that the service was very pleasant, when it comes to wine, they weren’t very helpful and informative. If these points could be improved, I am more than sure this will be my favorite place in Sbg for dining out. That’s why I put 4/5 for improvement and really hope to be back soon.

As mentioned by many people here in the review section, every single piece of food was absolutely delicious. If a sandwich can be this delicious, I cannot imagine how their dinner dishes would taste, probably like heaven. :D The lady who served us was attentive and friendly. The whole experience from the beginning till the end was pleasant. It is such a shame we were on a trip so we could not come back to this place for dinner. If we visit Salzburg again, we will definitely come to this restaurant.

Not recommended. Very bad experience. Having a dinner at this place we still don’t know what we paid 120 euros for. The question is why this place in Michelin Guide… seriously. Poor interior and not cozy atmosphere. Dishes look nice in the photo but in reality it is nothing that you can not get in a school canteen for 10 euros. Beginning from the butter they serve you with the bun. It is just butter: no spices, no herbs or unusual serving. It is just butter you can get from your fridge. Dishes are Very simple, nothing special. When you order fish&chips for 26 euros you expect it to be special. But in the end i tried street food quality fish&chips for 10 euro plenty of times in my life and those were delicious. Carrot tartar - one big disappointment. They give you rubbed on a grater carrot with a few drops of mayo on it. This what they call a carrot tartar… Unfortunately I can’t recommended you any other place in Salzburg as we stayed there only for one day. But definitely don’t spend your time and money on this place.

A refreshingly sophisticated fine dining experience for Salzburg. Ordered the surprise menu which consisted of a variety of dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Unique wine concept where you choose your own bottle from an array of fridges and racks. Prices are somewhat steep but in line with others like it. Starting at 120€ per head if you share a bottle of wine.

Fine dinning at it's best. We had ordered a wide variety of dishes with some complicated and good looking dishes to simple ones like Fish & Chips. Everything which was served on the table was tasty, looked good and we had an amazing evening. They have open bar for Gin & Tonic where you can mix your own gin, tonic water and toppings. Yes, they have a great selection of gin. I would recommend anyone who want to experience fine dinning dishes with reasonable prices. Some strange thing we found was they charge you for cutlery and accept only cash, even if your bill is going to be in few hundreds.

After hearing a lot of praise I have to honestly say I was quite disappointed. "Nothing special" sums it up. Good quality food BUT no dish that I will remember. Service seemed a bit condescending at some instances as we were not aware of their full concept beforehand. (no wine card, make your own Gin Tonic, get your own beer etc.) In the end, the restaurant's appeal seemed more geared towards a particular audience seeking an aesthetic and hip experience. While taste preferences vary, I couldn't help but feel that the restaurant fell short of its great reputation.

Food is above average but not exceptionally good, service pretty good but the place leaves something to be desired. No credit cards when we went there so had to walk to a cash machine after dinner which was a bummer.
